In 1975, designer Margie Walraven and architect Wim Messing established the March design bureau.
March stands for the combination of fashion and architecture. For many years, Margie Walraven designed internationally renowned fashion collections with strong architectural influences. Her designs were never 'trendy' and were valued worldwide by a target group that appreciates fashion and architecture in equal measure. After 35 years in the fashion industry, the step to furniture design was obvious. In recent years, March has been increasingly focusing on (corporate) housing and hospitality concepts.

Margie Walraven's specially designed furniture is often used in this. Now too, her affinity with natural materials, simple, refined shapes, usability and comfort play a major role. The photographs on the home page are a compilation of Margie Walraven's furniture designs since 2008 and the first photographs for the advertising campaign for the 1983/1984 fashion collections taken by photographer Joop Greypink (New York/Düsseldorf). The photographs date from the years before Photoshop. They are 'one-shot' photographs of 1:1 studio sets.
